Greenstep is participating in Slush for the first time in 2024! We will update this space with the atmosphere from the two-day event and share insights from the experience.
Day 1
The first day of Slush got off to a slushy but energetic start with our breakfast event, in the spirit of Slush's themes:

Vesa Riihimäki, the Head of Startup & Growth at Nordea Finland, provided valuable insights into the current trends and dynamics of the investment market. This was followed by an engaging panel discussion featuring industry experts.
The panelists included Vesa Riihimäki from Nordea, Oscar Andersin from Failup Ventures, Marjo Ilmari from Business Finland, Tom Henriksson from OpenOcean, and Cami Hongell from Mysoda. Together, they focused on the future prospects for growth and start-up companies, addressing critical questions such as how a founder should act when seeking funding becomes relevant, what types of cases are likely to receive funding in the current market situation, and what their best advice is for securing financing in this challenging environment.
At the Greenstep Partner Booth 6B3 in the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre, the Greenstep team commenced engaging with event attendees. The buzz at Slush started immediately at 8 AM, when the doors opened to the convention center and the floors started to get filled with excited participants.
The Greenstep Booth got busy quickly and outside of shop talk, one of the things that garnered interest was the booths' design itself. The logo sign beamed in warm green in the midst of the hazy convention floor, right next to the Impact Stage. The focus was on making sustainable choices in our booth design. We ensured that our stand was not disposable; instead, all elements were thoughtfully crafted to be recyclable and reusable for years to come.
